New Groove
Since Lauren's discharge from the hospital was so unexpected, we were highly unprepared to come home. Expecting to be away for months, I began disconnecting unnecessary services like cable, tivo, etc. so I've been scrambling to get those back on. I had also cleared out the perishable items from the fridge and offered neighbors and family the bulk frozen items from the freezer. What a whirlwind! I went back to work today but got Lauren all set up before I left with breakfast. Fran was kind enough to go grocery shopping and then fix Lauren lunch - that was a huge help. I think we now have a good understanding of how to make 'bed rest at home' work but it will take a lot of patience on everyones part.
Thanks again for everyone who has helped with and offered meals, visits, prayers, phone calls, flowers, and shoulders. We are in the thick of it now and it is a huge relief to know that we have people out there willing to help. We are extremely humbled. Here's to 15 weeks and 4 days to go!
